Welcome to Galaxy Decay, a free-to-play real-time space strategy game ("Game", "Service") operated by Galaxy Decay ("we", "our", "us").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our game and website located at galaxydecay.com. By creating an account or playing Galaxy Decay, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Galaxy Decay is intended for players aged 13 and older. Players under 18 must have parental consent to create an account.

The following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban:
4.1. Automation and Botting: Using any automated scripts, bots, or third-party software to play the game
4.2. Multiple Accounts: Creating or operating more than one account per person
4.3. Account Sharing: Sharing account credentials or allowing others to access your account
4.4. Pushing: Transferring resources between accounts to benefit one account unfairly
4.5. Bug Exploitation: Intentionally using game bugs or exploits for unfair advantage
4.6. Real Money Trading: Buying, selling, or trading accounts or in-game assets for real money
4.7. Harassment: Threatening, harassing, or abusing other players
4.8. Spam and Advertising: Sending unwanted messages or promoting external services
4.9. Impersonation: Pretending to be staff members or other players
Violations may result in immediate permanent ban without warning.
We collect and process the following data to operate the game:

5.2. Game progress and statistics
5.3. In-game messages and communications

5.5. Technical logs for debugging and performance

Galaxy Decay is provided as-is with the following understanding:
6.1. Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary service interruptions
6.2. We perform regular data backups but cannot guarantee against all data loss
6.3. Game balance changes may affect gameplay without prior notice
6.4. We reserve the right to reset servers or game universes when necessary
We strive for 99% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
All in-game content, including planets, resources, ships, and progress, remains the property of Galaxy Decay. Players have no ownership rights to virtual items or game data.
Game content may not be reproduced, distributed, or used outside the game without permission.
Galaxy Decay includes in-game messaging systems. By using these features, you agree to:
8.1. Use appropriate language and respect other players
8.2. Not share personal information or external contact details
8.3. Report inappropriate behavior to administrators
We may monitor communications to ensure compliance with these Terms. Our Discord server has separate community guidelines.
Galaxy Decay, including its code, graphics, music, and game mechanics, is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not:
9.1. Reverse engineer or decompile the game
9.2. Create derivative works or modifications
9.3. Use our trademarks without permission
We may terminate your account immediately for violating these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination, your access to the game and all associated data will be permanently removed.
Galaxy Decay is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
11.1. Loss of game progress or virtual items
11.2. Service interruptions or technical issues
11.3. Actions of other players
11.4. Any indirect or consequential damages
Since Galaxy Decay is free to play, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
For EU residents, this does not affect your consumer rights under local law.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Galaxy Decay after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Major changes will be announced in-game or via email when possible.
